The Barco Coronis MDCG-5221 is a 5 megapixel (2560 x 2048) grayscale diagnostic display for detailed review of digital images, including mammography screening. High-bright LED backlights let it render more JNDs (Just Noticeable Differences), displaying more shades of gray. It is available in single, dual, triple and quad monitor configurations.
The LED backlights combine high brightness with low power consumption. They are mercury-free, produce less heat and last longer, and the cool-running electronics require less cooling, which reduces operating costs. A DICOM-calibrated luminance of 600 cd/m² supports detection of fine detail, and the I-Luminate "hot light" button temporarily boosts brightness further.
Per Pixel Uniformity keeps every pixel DICOM-compliant, increasing the contrast-to-noise ratio so subtle details become visible sooner and windowing and leveling time is reduced. An integrated front sensor works with QAWeb Enterprise for automated quality assurance and calibration in the background, without interrupting work.
