This monitor is an ideal choice for radiology departments thanks to its high-quality features and innovative technology. Accredited by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration with an FDA 510(k) Clearance for General Radiology, the RadiForce RX660 can display both monochrome and color with great accuracy and reliability thanks to its Hybrid Gamma PXL function.
Highlights:
- 6 megapixel IPS monitor with a resolution of 3280 x 2048 (16:10 aspect ratio)
- True hybrid monochrome and color display
- Built-in Integrated Front Sensor (IFS)
- Wide viewing angle
- Accurate color reproduction and compliant with DICOM Part 14
- Renewed design at the service of your workspace
- In-house functions to improve your workflow
The Hybrid Gamma PXL function makes this monitor a high-performance hybrid solution
Visualize monochrome images, such as x-ray and MRI, and color images, such as ultrasound and endoscopy, on the same screen. The Hybrid Gamma PXL function automatically distinguishes between monochrome and color images pixel by pixel, optimizing grayscale for each pixel.
The Kumamoto Chuo Hospital in Japan conducted a visual assessment of this function, concluding that there is approximately a 37% improvement compared to color monitors without it. Regarding its monochrome performances, Hybrid Gamma PXL operate equally as well as others displays with GSDF.
Display images that are true to the original source data
Medical monitors need to offer high brightness to meet performance standards. However, there is an unavoidable decline in sharpness when LCD panels use high brightness, due to an increased pixel aperture ratio. MTF measures how faithful the displayed image is compared to the original one. Thanks to EIZO’s Sharpness Recovery technology, we can restore this decrease in sharpness (MTF). For a 2 pixel line pair, the MTF increases by approximately 51%.
Two functions to improve your workflow
The Switch-and-Go function enables you to operate two different workstations at the same time, using only one mouse and one keyboard: you can switch the signal between workstations. You can also use multiple monitors, moving the cursor from one screen to the other.
The Hide-and-Seek function is activated with a hotkey or by directing the cursor to the edge of the screen, allowing you to easily hide the Picture in Picture windows not currently in use.
An ergonomic design
The RX660 was designed to take up 23% less space than previous models, and is also considerably lighter (-6kg). The power supply now comes built into the monitor.
You can comfortably view from any angle with minimal color shift, allowing more than one person to view the monitor at the same time.
An image close to reality
LCD panels allow for a very bright image. However, at high brightness, they see an unavoidable decline in sharpness, due to an increased pixel aperture ratio. EIZO developed a unique technology called Sharpness Recovery, restoring the decrease in sharpness. For a 2 pixel line pair, the MTF – decrease in sharpness – increases by approximately 51%.
The Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) function helps provide smoother images by preventing fluctuations in brightness and chroma on different parts of the screen.
Make precise diagnosis: quality control from factory to radiology department
Quality control for this monitor starts at the factory, EIZO carefully measures and set each grayscale tone to be compliant with DICOM Part 14, helping you reach the most accurate diagnosis.
To maintain the precision, you can use the bundled quality control software called RadiCS LE to correct the brightness and grayscale tones of the monitor. Combined with the built-in Integrated Front Sensor (IFS) to calibrate to DICOM Part 14, make sure you maintain image accuracy and consistency over time.
EIZO is so confident about their product quality that the brightness stability is covered by the warranty.
A single cable to multi-monitor
Thanks to its DisplayPort 1.2 input and output, a single cable is connected to the workstation. All monitors are then chain to each other, starting from the first monitor.
An environmentally friendly solution
EIZO’s products are designed to promote energy efficiency by reducing power consumption and CO2 emissions while maintaining high performance required in the medical field. They also provide after-service recycling system.
Thanks to a heat sensor, the latest RadiForce monitors can detect if the user is away. While away, it will automatically switch to power save mode, and resume operation when they return.
Ultimately, the RadiForce RX660 is manufactured using a new panel packed with energy-efficient LED backlight, reducing power consumption by 26% compared to previous models.
