The Sony HVO-500MD is an HD medical digital network recorder for hospital radiology and operating rooms, surgical centers and doctors' offices. It stores HD video from ultrasound, digital X-ray, endoscopic, laparoscopic and other compatible diagnostic and surgical imaging systems, with connection options for a wide range of current and legacy devices.
Video is stored in HD or Standard Definition on the internal hard disk drive and, via a simple menu selection, can be recorded at the same time to an external USB drive or a network server. This removes the need to export or copy files after recording and adds a safeguard against data loss.
