Get the Sony image quality
Sony is a leader regarding image quality, always pushing the boundaries for each generation of displays. The LMD-X3200MD is no exception: a 32-inch monitor that can display high quality 4K Ultra HD images with a resolution of 2840 x 2160 pixels (16:9 screen aspect ratio). Pixel density is only half the journey for perfect images in medical settings: high brightness levels, great contrast, and rich colors are also key. The LMD-X3200 can count on HDR to achieve these goals, under the condition of using HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) signals from a compatible imaging system.
Sony’s A.I.M.E. to go even further
A.I.M.E. (Advanced Image Multiple Enhancer) is Sony’s proprietary technology that can enhance the visibility of displayed images, particularly helpful for surgical teams. 3 modes are available and can be adjusted thanks to buttons located on the monitor’s front panel.
Structure enhancement allows structures to be seen more clearly with increased sharpness, thanks to an improved object’s outline recognition.
Manipulate tonal differences for greater visibility thanks to the Color Enhancement mode.
The Shadow Enhancement mode is the latest addition from Sony: it improves the visibility of fine detail in dark image areas.
Accurate color reproduction and more realistic visualization
Benefit from a highly consistent, accurate reproduction of a wide color gamut thanks to Sony’s signal processing technology and the advanced LCD panel found in the LMD-X3200MD. These parameters comply with ITU-R Recommendation BT.2020, guaranteeing superior color reproduction and more realistic visualization.
Better visibility in operating rooms
Operating rooms feature surgical lights that can produce distracting reflections and glare, reducing visibility on the monitor. The display has a scratch-resistant anti-reflection panel structure to reduce light dispersion, ensuring clear, high-contrast images, even in the brightest operating room, under a wide range of viewing angles.
OR staff and students are very fond of the clone output feature. It allows cloning the image displayed on the monitor (with all the display settings) onto a secondary display, in live. The image can be displayed in 4K or downscaled to HD resolution.
Attention to detail for the most demanding users
From installation to usage, Sony makes your life easier. For installation, the VESA mount and a more flexible user-friendly cabling let you set up everything with ease and speed, thanks to its three cable access points, and various cover sizes.
The LMD-X3200MD offers a wide range of connectors such as 12G-SDI, 3G-SDI, Display Port, HDMI, and DVI. Thanks to this impressive connectivity you can plug in your existing devices with ease. Powering the display is also a simple task: direct AC power in or use an optional power adapter for DC.
Using the monitor, you will get access to features to make things easier, especially in OR where interactions with medical devices should be brief and minimal. As a result, Sony included in this monitor a mode called Auto Input Select. If the main punt signal is accidentally interrupted, the LMD-X3200MD automatically switches to the second port, to ensure minimal interruption. As soon as it detects that the main input signal is restored, it switches it back.
The monitor is compatible with single contact remote controls like the footswitch FS-24, allowing surgeons to interact with the different features and controls of the display. If you still want to use the control panel, you’ll be glad to discover that it has been designed for easy navigation. Active control buttons are highlighted with LED backlighting, guiding the user, especially in dark environments. You can also assign commonly used functions to custom buttons.
Sony built the LMD-X3200MD to be the perfect choice for OR, therefore it was designed with a flat surface for easy cleaning. The rear of the monitor is composed of a smaller ventilation hole area, and flush cable covers. It also features a smaller footprint: the LMD-X3200MD has the same chassis width as the 31-inch LMD-X310MD, while providing a wider image.
