The EIZO RadiForce RX1270 is a 30.9-inch, 12-megapixel (4200 x 2800) color LCD monitor for breast tomosynthesis and mammography. One RX1270 displays multiple images with a free image layout, giving a more streamlined view than multi-monitor setups, and its footprint is more compact than the two conventional 5MP monitors used side by side in most imaging facilities. The RX1270 has FDA 510(k) clearance for mammography.
The Hybrid Gamma PXL function distinguishes monochrome and color images pixel by pixel and applies the optimum grayscale to each pixel, so mammography images and color images can be read on the same screen. EIZO's Work-and-Flow functions are designed to simplify the radiologist's imaging workflow.

Sharpness Recovery: restores the sharpness (MTF) normally lost when an LCD panel runs at high brightness, so images remain true to the original source data.

High-density images: 0.1554 mm pixel pitch produces high-definition images without a grainy appearance.

DICOM Part 14: each grayscale tone is measured and set by EIZO. The included RadiCS LE software and the Integrated Front Sensor (IFS) in the front bezel calibrate without mounting and removing an external sensor.

Temperature-based stabilization: a temperature sensor measures the temperature inside the monitor and estimates the ambient temperature; EIZO uses AI in the estimation algorithm so gradation, color and brightness are corrected in real time.

Point-and-Focus: select an area with the mouse and keyboard and change its brightness and grayscale tones to make interpretation easier.

Hide-and-Seek: hide a PinP (picture-in-picture) window when not in use and reopen it by moving the cursor to the edge of the screen, for quick access to reports or patient charts.

Switch-and-Go: USB switching through the monitor lets one keyboard and mouse control two connected PCs; combined with Hide-and-Seek, a notebook PC connected via HDMI can be shown in a separate window.

Single-cable connection: DisplayPort 1.4 carries the 12MP signal at 60 frames per second between monitor and workstation.

Reading-room lighting: a built-in comfort light illuminates the wall behind the monitor to reduce eye fatigue without creating glare on the screen, and an adjustable spotlight lights printed documents or the keyboard.
