Brightness uniformity AND separate brightness levels?
The Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) function ensures optimum brightness uniformity, although the characteristics of LCD monitors make it difficult to attain.
Another function called Hybrid Gamma automatically differentiates medical images from the non-medical areas. For example, it decreases the tool palette area’s brightness, leading to less eye fatigue.
Interestingly, EIZO has also included a patented drift correction function that quickly stabilizes the brightness level by compensating for brightness fluctuations caused by the ambient temperature and the passage of time.
DICOM Part 14 easy calibration for consistency
Factory adjustment is performed on the production line to meet DICOM Part 14 requirements by carefully measuring and setting each grayscale tone. In the radiology department, you need to make sure that consistency is ensured, and the RadiForce GX340 comes with a software and a sensor to simplify this task.
RadiCS LE is a simplified calibration quality control software that is used to correct the brightness and grayscale tones thereby providing consistent and accurate shadings.
The Integrated Front Sensor (IFS) is housed within the front bezel: it measures brightness and grayscale tones to calibrate to the DICOM Part 14 standard. This task can be performed without interfering the viewing area, cutting down maintenance costs and quality control workload.

An environmentally friendly monitor
The RadiForce GX340 achieves high brightness and low power consumption at the same time, thanks to its energy-efficient LED. Moreover, LED backlights deteriorate more slowly than conventional CCFL backlights, offering a longer service life. LEDs are also free of mercury, reducing any potential impact on the environment when disposed of.
A presence sensor allows the monitor to switch to power save mode when it detects that the user is away and resumes operation when he or she returns.
Viewing features and positioning
The CAL Switch function lets you select between the different imaging modes of various modalities such as CR, CT, and endoscope images, directly from the front panel buttons. There is also an auto mode setting that can be used with the Auto CAL Switch function.
