Tristel DUO is an intermediate-level disinfectant (ILD) foam formulated with chlorine dioxide (ClO2), effective at low concentrations. It is designed for hard non-porous surfaces and for semi-critical and non-critical items that require intermediate-level disinfection, including devices that cannot be autoclaved or treated with harsh chemicals, such as ultrasound probes. It can also be used on cables, keyboards and mammography compressor plates. Sold 6 bottles per box.
Tristel DUO is used in OB/GYN and emergency departments where disinfection is performed frequently. Ultrasound manufacturers approve and recommend it for use on probes, and its formula is designed to protect equipment and extend its lifetime without turning cables yellow, which can occur with unapproved disinfectants.

HPV efficacy
A study by Dr. Craig Meyers at the Pennsylvania State College of Medicine, USA, assessed the efficacy of Tristel DUO foam against Human Papillomavirus types 16 (HPV16) and 18 (HPV18). The results demonstrate that Tristel DUO foam effectively inactivated both HPV16 and HPV18.
